HARIBO, founded in 1920 by Hans Riegel in the city of Bonn, Germany, is the world's largest producer of gummy candies. It all began in a small backyard laundry room in a suburb of Bonn with a sack of sugar and a copper kettle, and later became one of the most successful, high-quality, and beloved brands in the confectionery sector. The HARIBO brand is an acronym derived from the name of the company registered in the trade register as HAns RIegel BOnn.
Since 2001, HARIBO has been producing in Turkey and moved its factory to Hadımköy in 2004. With its current facility, it ranks third in size among HARIBO facilities worldwide. Producing gummy candies and marshmallows, it offers 750 different product options to meet consumer expectations. It is the only HALAL-certified production facility among Haribo factories.
HARIBO Turkey, committed to offering the highest quality gummy candies to consumers, exports approximately 80% of its sales to regions such as the Americas, Middle East, North Africa, Turkic Republics, Asia-Pacific, and European Union countries.
Açı Group's distributorship of HARIBO began on January 1, 2024, and we continue to expand our operations in the Mersin region, aiming to work more efficiently, securely, and modernly while consistently enhancing the company's profile.
